About
Jess C. Spencer Mortuary was founded in 1965 at the location on Redwood Road in Castro Valley, where it still stands. We were founded by a group of Castro Valley and East Bay business people who desired a modern mortuary in Castro Valley. In 1990 we opened our crematory and remain the only crematory in Castro Valley.
Jess C. Spencer Mortuary is a full-service mortuary able to provide for all needs one may have at the time of loss. We work comfortably with all faiths, fraternal organizations and with any cemetery either local or distant. We have available a wide variety of clergy including funeral celebrants.
We handle our own cremations on-site and offer services such as witnessed cremation that are not available at many other locations. Our facilities have recently undergone an extensive upgrade in the areas of personal comfort and security, for you and your loved ones.
