Everything you need to know about the time-sensitive rent relief for Eden Area

Thanks to the organizing efforts of My Eden Voice, Eden United Church of Christ, and Centro Legal de la Raza, those in the unincorporated Alameda County who are in need of rental assistance can apply with direct assistance through CentroLegal.org/rental-assistance.

Quick Facts

  • There’s $5 million set aside specifically to help with rent that will expire December 28, 2020.
  • The program will cover up to 9 months rent or up to $18,000 whichever is less, for rents that have built up starting in March of 2020.
  • Funds will be used to provide rental assistance to low-income tenants in unincorporated Alameda County who have lost work or income due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • The application period opens on November 17, 2020 and will remain open until funds are exhausted or December 28, 2020, whichever comes sooner.
